Karukio sniffed the air and smiled satisfied. “Finally I’m back where I rightfully belong, and this time no one is going to stand in my way. I deserve to be the alpha of this pack and I’m not going to stop until I get it. If I have to I’ll go and find my own pack and come back and overthrow the pack. Mom and Dad have been the alphas long enough, it is time there was someone new.” She walked through the forest talking to herself, her senses on high alert of any of the wolves that might be around. She knew that she was in dangerous territory and that she could be killed as a punishment for trespassing especially since the pack had banished her because of a small mistake that they had blown into something that didn’t need to be as serious as it was. She thought that since no one was going to do anything about the pup’s who were disobeying that she needed to discipline them herself. She was older than them and no one else cared if they did things that they shouldn’t have been doing. So she picked up the pup who was rough housing too dangerously with the other pups and took him out into the middle of the forest and left him there as a punishment. It wasn’t like she was going to leave him out there to die, she was going to go back and get him after a while. When she had gotten back to where the pack was resting her mom and dad were looking around frantically for the missing pup, when they had noticed that she had come back from being out somewhere they instantly began accusing her for taking the pup and doing something with it. Karukio told them that she had taken the pup into the forest, and that she had left him there as a punishment for being to rough and dangerous towards the other pups. The pack glared at her and her mom and dad snapped their teeth at her in threat. Amistan glared at his twin sister and took a threatening step towards her, “how could you do that, that pup has no way of defending for himself. You basically took him out there to die. You thought that you could one day be the next alpha of this pack? You don’t deserve a ranking like that, if I was your mate I would never mate with you. You don’t deserve to have pups and a pack of your own. I wish you were never born and were never a part of this pack. When mom and dad get back here I hope they will give you the worst punishment ever!” Amistan glared at her and blocked her as she tried to walk away in the direction of where the pack and gone. “You are not going back there, you have done enough damage as it is.” Karukio smiled at him and then looked past him with a pathetic worried look on her face. Amistan followed her gaze and saw that the pack was coming back with hurt and fury in plainly shown on their faces. When they got to where he was standing Father was the first to speak. “Karukio you are hereby banished and exiled from this pack for life. “ Karukio looked at her father in horror, and tried to look as innocent as possible. “Why I didn’t do anything wrong. I only was going to leave him out there for a short time and then go back to get him, so that he knew to never do that again.” Father looked at her, “you don’t understand how much damage you have done to this family, you have murdered an innocent pup who didn’t deserve the punishment that was given to him.” Both Amistan and Karukio looked at their father in horror and said at the same time, “what do you mean!”
Mother this time was the first to speak, Amistan noticed the hurt, pain, and disloyalty in her voice, “when we got to where you had left the pup, he was there lying on the ground not moving and with attack marks all over his body. He didn’t have a chance and it was all your fault Karukio.” There was a bit as she said the hurtful words to her daughter. Amistan walked over to his mother and father and nuzzled them in comfort, he then looked up at Father and said quietly. “Father, I don’t want someone who we all loved and cared for to tear this family apart. I think that the punishment she deserves is death.” Father looked down at his son. “I think that the best punishment for now is to ban her, and if she ever does come back then she will be killed for what she has done. She at least deserves to go out and try to find a pack of her own. If she doesn’t and tries to crawl back here for remorse and sympathy then she’ll be in for a real surprise. A surprise that no wolf should ever endure and I hope at that point she will regret for what she has done to this pack.” Father then looked at Karukio and took a threatening step towards her and demanded “Karukio I hereby banish you from the pack, and I leave you with this warning, if you ever decide to come back to this pack thinking that we will feel remorse and sympathy and that we could kindly let you back into the pack. Well you’ll be thinking wrong, and you will get the punishment no wolf should ever get from her own family, and that is death.” Karukio looked at her father in horror, and tucked her tail between her legs and laid her ears back in submission. “Karukio I hereby banish you from the pack, and I leave you with this warning, if you ever decide to come back to this pack thinking that we will feel remorse and sympathy and that we could kindly let you back into the pack. Well you’ll be thinking wrong, and you will get the punishment no wolf should ever get from her own family, and that is death.” Karukio looked at her father in horror, and tucked her tail between her legs and laid her ears back in submission. “I understand that Father, and I hope you understand that one day I will come back with my own pack and over throw this one because it is about time that things changed around here. You and mom have been leaders of this pack long enough and it’s time the leadership role was changed.” With that Karukio turned and walked away from the pack she once loved, and who once loved her.
